If your loved one served in the military or is the spouse of a deceased veteran, her or she may be eligible for home health care benefits from the Veterans Administration. Nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy or a range of social services are available through the VA for eligible veterans. The VA will make the total, partial or marginal payment for the necessary services.

To qualify for the VA’s “Aid & Attendance” non-service connected disability pension, you must be a veteran who has served at least 90 days on active duty, with at least one day of service during a period of war, or the surviving spouse of such a veteran. You must also be in need of assistance at home due to your disabilities and you must meet the VA’s maximum income and asset limits to receive assistance.
